Nathan loves to learn! He is constantly wanting to be read to, sort shapes/objects, and look through one of his many stacks of flashcards. I'm always amazed at the information he is able to retain. Since he is nonverbal, I often wonder what is in his little head that he is unable to communicate through the signs that he knows and the icons he can access on his iPad. I KNOW that there is more than he can communicate, I wish I was better skilled in helping him get it out!
In this video you will see that his picture vocabulary is growing. Excuse my constant talking, asking him to "look at Mommy", but I found that if I get his attention before I ask him to make a choice, he is much more accurate. You will also see that his cute little pointer finger sometimes wanders before he points to the correct answer. We just found out that his eyes don't work together so it takes them a second to focus and for him to get his finger to move where he wants it to go.
