I must say, the whole thing was a bit weird. The funny thing is that I had just blogged about Nathan's drink and how we use the So Delicious brand of coconut milk yogurt, so it kind of made sense, but was still weird.
A little while later after I was done feeding Nathan, I called the number on the piece of paper. As she answered the phone, a sweet voice on the other end said, "Is this Brandi?" I responded appropriately and asked how she knew me. She said that she works in marketing for the yogurt company and was searching hits on their products and was lead to our blog. What she said next is something that will be imprinted on my heart for a very long time. It went something like this:
"I am not someone that is easily moved, but I read your blog and watched the video and was deeply moved by your son's story. I can't imagine what you and your family have been through. I went to the owners of the company and asked if there was something we could do to help your family out with his drink. The agreed to send you vouchers for free products."
Our conversation went on for about another ten minutes. We discussed some of Nathan's health and nutrition issues along with other products that they have to offer to enhance his diet. She continued to portray her sincere compassion for our family and all that Nathan has endured in no uncertain way. Yes, I had a good cry on the phone with her as I was deeply moved by this stranger's kindness.
This woman, a mere stranger, went out on a limb to find us. She was moved. What she doesn't know is how much she moved me and rekindled a flame that was just about put out. Thank you Ms. So Delicious, you touched my soul.
And thank you Turtle Mountain for your generous donation! You are helping our son to grow healthy and strong!

People are just so good when they are good, aren't they? So glad she lit you up again!
