He Did It!
He did it, he took TWO steps! It wasn't pretty, it wasn't with great balance, and we couldn't get him to do it again, but he did it! He overcame his fears and let go! Woohooo!
Nathan was diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome at two days old. Since then he has been diagnosed with the following, all of which are symptomatic of RTS:
* Microcephaly (small head) * Cranial facial anomalies * Deviated septum * Narrow air passages * Obstructive Sleep Apnea * Dysphasia (swallowing problems) * Hypotonia (low muscle tone, very weak) * Aspiration (liquid goes into his lungs) * Angulated right thumb * Malrotation of the intestines * Respiratory illness * Hydrosyringomyelia (fluid surrounding his spinal cord) * Acid Reflux * Undescended testees * Mild to moderate hearing loss * Tethered spinal cord * High white blood cell count (unknown reason) * Broad toes * Morgagni Hernia * Ocular cyst
How wonderful!! Congratulations!
