Communication Tidbit...

While visiting with Dr. Oncology today the doctor introduced himself followed by asking Nathan how old he was. Given the fact that the doc had never met Nathan and didn't realize that he was nonverbal, I held up his iPad and Nathan responded by finding the correct icon, replying, "I am two years old". First of all I loved that the doc addressed Nathan (he was a fabulous doc), second of all, Nathan responded on his own, I did not have to answer that question for him. He did it by himself, in his voice, I was just the device holder!
